Statesville Fire Department Raises Over $5,100 in 2026 Polar Plunge to Support Special Olympics Iredell County

Last Updated 2/20/2026Posted in Fire News

The Statesville Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community for supporting our team in the Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics Iredell County.

Because of your generosity, the Statesville Fire Department Polar Plunge Team raised over $5,100 to support local Special Olympics athletes. Even more impressive, the overall event raised just over $30,000 for Special Olympics Iredell County.

These funds make a meaningful impact by supporting opportunities, inclusion, and empowerment for athletes right here in our community. What may have looked like one cold jump into the water represents something much bigger - a shared commitment to uplifting and investing in others.

We are truly grateful to everyone who donated, shared our campaign, encouraged our team members, and helped spread the word. Your support demonstrates the strength and compassion of the Statesville community.

Statesville showed up in a big way, and we are proud not only to serve this community, but to stand alongside you in supporting such an important cause.

Thank you for helping us make a difference.
