Community Event Guidelines

SFD firefighters and educators regularly participate in a variety of community events, such as station tours, school visits, truck demonstrations, educational presentations, and career fairs. Due to the large volume of requests/invitations received, availability is limited. Submission of this request form does not guarantee attendance or participation.

Emergency response is always our primary responsibility.

• All requests should be received at least 30 days in advance to allow for processing, scheduling, and coordination with our station personnel. Requests will be reviewed 30-60 days max before the event date.
• If you are requesting a truck to visit your location, the truck will need easy accessibility for ingress and egress to the street for emergency response.
• Please keep in mind that SFD is inundated with Community Event requests in the spring and fall seasons (April/May) and (September/October), and we may not have the staffing or resources to participate.
• We are unable to accommodate requests to visit birthday parties.
• Trucks are staffed by on-duty personnel and due to emergency calls, scheduled appearances may be delayed, interrupted, or canceled without notice.
• Unfortunately, we are not able to host parties or events at our stations, nor attend birthday parties.
