Kyle O. Bell III serves as Deputy Fire Chief for the Statesville Fire Department, overseeing Administration. He joined the department in 2005 and brings 23 years of fire service experience. He was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief in 2023.

Bell began his fire service career with Harmony Volunteer Fire Department. Throughout his career with Statesville, he has served in several leadership roles including Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief – Training, and Deputy Chief – Operations. He has extensive experience in special operations, including hazardous materials response and technical rescue.

In his current role, Bell oversees the department’s administrative operations, including budgeting, personnel management, policy development, training oversight, accreditation, records management, and support services. He also supervises key divisions, coordinates emergency preparedness efforts, manages grants and funding opportunities, and serves as second-in-command to the Fire Chief.
