SFD Responds to Chimney Fire on Brookdale Drive
The Statesville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at Little Pigs Barbeque, located at 226 Brookdale Drive, shortly after 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Upon arrival, crews observed flames coming from the building’s chimney. Firefighters entered the structure to check for any extension of the fire into the attic space and determine the safest method to extinguish the blaze. After overcoming initial access challenges, crews successfully contained and extinguished the fire within the chimney.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
