Statesville Fire Department Adds Large-Area Ventilation Fans to Enhance Emergency Response

Last Updated 1/30/2026Posted in Fire News

The Statesville Fire Department has recently obtained two large-area ventilation fans to further strengthen our emergency response capabilities. These high-powered fans are mounted on a dedicated trailer, allowing them to be easily transported and quickly deployed during structure fires and other emergency incidents.
The fans will primarily be used to ventilate large structures more efficiently, improving visibility, reducing heat, and creating safer conditions for both firefighters and potential victims. Their ability to move large volumes of air significantly enhances operational effectiveness in challenging environments.

In addition to ventilation, the fans can be connected to a water supply and used as misting systems to cool off firefighters during hot weather operations. They are also capable of providing critical support during hazardous materials incidents and other large-scale emergencies where ventilation or cooling is necessary.

The addition of this equipment reflects the Statesville Fire Department’s ongoing commitment to improving operational safety and effectiveness, ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our growing community.
